Hot Wheels 1997 - Collector #611 - Fire-Eater II - Red - USA Blue & White Card - MPN 95505

Hot Wheels Wiki says: The Fire Eater II is based on an ERF PF 84 water tender truck. This casting was originally used and designed by Corgi, and made its debut in the Europe-exclusive Auto City line. This tooling was referred to by Corgi as the ERF Fire Engine Water Tender and introduced in 1970; it was the second fire truck tooling made by Corgi and then remade by Hot Wheels, after the Flame Stopper II, a reissue of the Corgi ERF Simon Snorkel Fire Engine under a different name and the Hot Wheels brand. The casting would be retooled in 1975. Cast into the side of this vehicle is a hose reel, on the left-hand side of the casting indicating it would be right-hand drive if it had an interior piece, as in the UK, fire engines typically have their hose reel on the left-hand side of the engine for ease of getting hoses to the fire from the parked vehicle.

The base of the casting reads Fire Tender.
