Hot Wheels Wiki says: The Hot Wheels id Series features cars embedded with NFC microchips that combine with apps and interactive track sets to play a multitude of mini games. The id Race Portal records progress for app use and can be combined with regular Hot Wheels track. Hot Wheels id cars can also be raced on the Smart Track, which can be highly customized in a wide range of configurations. All cars sport full deco, Spectraflame paint, and exclusive id wheels. Several castings of scale models were retooled for track use. The id system was developed by Gerry Cody and Ron Friedman. The series was canceled in 2022 due to low sales, overproduction and the license for the chips ending; the series's discontinutation would not be announced until 2023, with an announcement on the id app. NFT Garage can be seen as sort of a spiritual successor to this series.

The Chevrolet Bel Air was a full-sized car produced by Chevrolet from 1950 to 1975 over seven generations. The car is often considered an icon of the 1950s, with many well-preserved examples being sought after.

This casting is largely based on the '56 Chevy casting designed by Larry Wood, and while appearing similar at a glance, both are completely different castings; the id casting is longer, rides higher, features slightly larger headlamp and taillamp housings, a slightly different hood, adds a B-pillar and features different front and rear bumpers with bumper guards and a new interior with a notably detailed steering wheel. The casting features a generally centered weight distribution and rides higher than most id castings to allow for track usage with the help of dual axle risers.
